Manchester United fans disgrace at Barnsley

Manchester United fans continued what is becoming a disgraceful display by football fans supporting their teams in the Carling Cup competition, following on from West Ham and Millwall fans episode.

Their fans went on the rampage during their clash with Barnsley. Everything appeared peaceful up to halftime out in the stadium but some late arriving fans and some of them leaving for an early halftime drink went on a frenzy on destruction. They terrorized the staff in the food outlets to such a degree that they fled to a storeroom for safty, the marauding fans smashed the bars and food outlets stealing from the tills and flooding floors.

Riot police and dogs were brought in an attempt to keep the fans from the pitch, the dogs appear to do the trick, even the bravest of fans not wanting to go up against a German Sheperd, possibly for the best as South Yorkshire police are not slow to bring on the horses.

After this latest episode of fan behavour United can expect to be treated harshly by the FA, Barnsley are also reported to be seeking six figure damages to repair the devastation.
